Star Trust was founded on 8 July 2009 at Uthangarai by three trustees who pooled a corpus fund of just Rs. 2,500 โ and started with a single conviction: reach the unreached.
A peaceful society where every person โ especially the poor and marginalised โ lives with dignity and opportunity.
To support people in need through education, healthcare and community development โ empowering them for a better future.
The deed was executed at Uthangarai with Mrs. M. Sathiyavani as first trustee, alongside Mr. S. Saravanan and Mr. P. Arun. Registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, the trust took its name โ Star Trust โ and its first rented office at 56, Gandhi Nagar, Uthangarai.
The Managing Committee still runs on the same principle written into the deed: every non-routine decision is settled by simple majority, and the bank account is operated jointly by two trustees โ never one.

Founding & Managing Trustee, resident of Mittapalli. Serves as the trust's primary contact person for all programmes and correspondence.
Founding Trustee, resident of Nappirampatti Village, Uthangarai โ part of the original Managing Committee since 2009.
Founding Trustee, resident of Indhra Nagar, Uthangarai โ one of the three original signatories to the trust deed.
We deliberately keep our work concentrated in Mittapalli, Singarapettai and Uthangarai within Krishnagiri District โ the same communities our founding trustees came from. That closeness is why our SHGs meet every week, and why our field staff know families by name, not by file number.
